Nielsen Television Audience Measurement
OzTAM contracts Nielsen TAM to collect the Metropolitan and National Subscription Television audience measurement (TAM) data. OzTAM owns the copyright to and markets the data collected by this service. Nielsen TAM is a subsidiary of The Nielsen Company, the world’s largest provider of television audience measurement services.
The Australian Association of National Advertisers represents the rights and responsibilities of companies and individuals involved in Australia’s $30 billion a year advertising, marketing and media industry. In the common cause of responsible advertising and marketing, the AANA today also serves to protect the rights of consumers in ensuring commercial communication is conducted responsibly within prevailing community standards.
The Australian Subscription Television and Radio Association (ASTRA) is the peak industry body for Subscription Television.
The Communications Council
The Communications Council is the peak body representing agencies in the marketing communications industry to media, government and the public. The organisation was formed bringing together the Advertising Federation Australia (AFA), the Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association (AWARD), the Account Planning Group (APG) and the Australasian Promotional Marketing Association (APMA).
Free TV Australia is an industry body which represents all of Australia's commercial free-to-air television licencees.
Media Federation of Australia (MFA)
The Media Federation of Australia (MFA) was formed in 1997 to support agencies that specialise in media services (i.e. media research, strategic planning, media negotiation and placement). It is the peak body representing media communication companies.
